Who are we?

With a membership of nearly 90 the NEMRC covers a diverse range of interests and skills. We model in HO, 0, N, Z, G and 1 scales. In DC and DCC. From absolute beginners to seasoned experts. Our members possess a diverse range of modelling skills, as well as a substantial knowledge base of the prototypes.

Where are we?

The Club is primarily based in the New England area of New South Wales (Australia), centred around the towns of Armidale, Glen Innes, Inverell, Moree and Narrabri but our membership base stretches from Moree, in the West to the North Coast of NSW to Rockhampton (Queensland) in the North and Narre Warren (Victoria) in the South.

Our aims and goals:

  • To enable people interested in railway modelling and railways in general, to associate with others with similar interests for their mutual benefit and enjoyment.
  • To maintain a model railway layout for use by members.
  • To encourage beginners to seek knowledge and enjoyment from railway modelling.
  • To share ideas between members for the benefit of all.
  • To promote the hobby of railway modelling as an enjoyable and rewarding one.

So, come and join us!

Membership is only $50 per year, $20 for students and $60 for a family. The membership form is on the Join Page. If you would like to "try before you buy" come along to one of our activities and meet us. Details are on the Activities Page.
